Engineered for affordable, easy-touse 3-D imaging, the Kodak 9000 3D Extraoral Imaging System offers low-dose, high-resolution 3-D images as well as panoramic images. The system can augment existing cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) systems in an imaging center or be used as a stand-alone in a private office. The 3-D system’s localized field of view reconstructs an area of about two to three teeth in exceptional detail for planning such activities as endodontic treatment and placement of individual implants. Its panoramic imaging optimizes image quality over a range of jaw sizes. Users can switch between pan and 3-D modes by simply selecting the program; no manual interaction with the sensor is needed.
